A lot of people only think of their own enjoyment (and the enjoyment of those they are inviting) when throwing a party at their home, but another aspect of throwing a successful party is making sure the party does not annoy your neighbors! Throwing a party that does not bother your neighbors is easy, but you will have to make sure you follow a few simple tips; after all, living in your neighborhood will be a much more pleasant experience if you are able to have parties at your house while still keeping your neighbors on your side!
One thing that most neighbors will get annoyed by is when they come home to park, and the spot on the street in which they usually park is taken by another car; even though the spots your neighbors park in are not technically “their spot,” you will keep them much happier (and will therefore have a much more successful party) if you are aware of any spots on the street your neighbors regularly park in, and if you make sure no one from your party is parking in these spots. Keeping your party relatively quiet will also be important, and even though you might think that everyone outside is being quiet, you also have to realize that noise can feel much louder to someone when they are trying to sleep; because of this, you should always move the party inside before the time of night when people are likely to start trying to go to sleep in the houses around you. Even if the group of people you have invited to your house is relatively courteous, people still have a tendency to hang out and chat around their cars when leaving a party; make sure you encourage your friends to wrap up their conversations inside, so that they are not out in the street talking at two or three in the morning! When you make sure to keep these tips in mind as you throw a party, you will be able to ensure that your neighbors are not getting annoyed with the fun you are having, which will make your party a much better experience all the way around.-
