While the GoPro is the world’s best selling wearable HD camera for sports, this does not necessarily answer the question of whether they are also the best. Before this question can be answered, we must first make certain we understand exactly what the GoPro aims to be.

Apache/2.4.55 (Ubuntu) Server at www.autopowerblogs.com Port 80 ">GoPro is an HD camera that is intended to be used by people while engaging in sports, whether this is skiing, surfing, hiking, skydiving, or anything in between. The GoPro cameras come with special mounts that are intended to be used for different activities; for instance, there is a helmet mount for bicycle sports, and there is a special mount for skiing, in case you want to strap the GoPro onto one of your poles. The GoPro even has a special camera and mount designed for motor sports, if – for instance – you wanted to strap a GoPro to the front of a race car. In order to compare the GoPro to other comparable products, a couple questions about the GoPro itself must first be answered. The first question is whether the GoPro actually works without getting damaged; the second question is whether the video taken by the GoPro is any good. As for the first question, skiers have found that they can take huge spills and the camera keeps working perfectly, and surfers have even found that the waterproof case truly is waterproof; for such a small device, it is amazingly sturdy. As for answering the question of whether the GoPro truly takes HD quality video, there is no answer to this question besides a resounding “Yes.” And as the GoPro truly does what it claims to do – taking incredible footage with a small, sturdy design – the question of whether it is the best option becomes much easier to answer. In short, the answer to the question is yes; with the clunkier CountourHD and Drift HD170 (which is also more expensive than the GoPro) as its main competitors, the competition is not very close. What’s more, neither camera offers as many accessories or takes video as excellent as the video taken by the GoPro – it is truly an HD sports camera in a class all its own!
