Part of the fun of spending time on the beach is simply being able to relax around people you are close to while you catch some sun and catch some waves, but another big part of having fun at the beach is to have different games or activities that you and your friends or family enjoy playing. As far as “games to play at the beach,” there are lots of different options that you can choose from, and once you start looking for such ideas, you will probably find that you will come up with some good ideas on your own, but as you get started coming up with your own ideas for games to play on the beach, it will be helpful to know some of the ideas others have come up with.
On most beaches, you will be able to find a volleyball net set up somewhere, but if you go to a beach on a regular basis and the beach you visit does not have a volleyball net, you can also purchase your own volleyball net and bring it with you – and the best thing about beach volleyball is that it can be played with large groups or even just two on two!
Bringing something to throw around at the beach is always a good idea, with ideas ranging from frisbees to footballs to baseballs; it can be enjoyable to just relax and pass these things back and forth, or it can be fun to organize an actual game of ultimate frisbee, touch football, or beach baseball.
And if you are wanting to get a little more creative, you can also try something like a game of tag; you can play in the water, with a spot in the land as “base,” or you can play on land with an area in the water as “base”!
As you start to play games such as these, more ideas will come to you – and in time, you will no longer enjoy going to the beach simply to go to the beach, but for all the fun you have there as well!
